The Guesthouse Policies
Check-in time for The Guesthouse is between 3 and 8 P.M.
Check-in after 8 P.M. is possible with prior arrangements. If your travel or flight is delayed by more than an hour from the check-in time specified on your reservation, please contact The Guesthouse via e-mail or text to let us know the new estimated arrival time. If arriving after 8 P.M. please call the innkeeper’s direct phone line located on the plaque outside the main entrance.
Check-out time is 11 A.M.
We require that you clear your guest room of all personal belongings by 11 A.M. to insure the room is ready for any new guests arriving at 3 P.M.
Same Day Reservations
Same day reservations must be made by phone call only.
Please contact The Guesthouse directly at 1-419-560-3263 » to make a reservation with less than 24 hour notice.
We have private parking on our property to accommodate our guests.
Our private parking is well-lit and secure located just steps from the main entrance. Please follow the parking arrows upon arrival.
The Timbrook offers transportation to and from the Columbus International Airport at a cost of $35 one-way and $70 round-trip.
Other transportation needs can be provided if appropriate notice is given so arrangements can be made.
We offer nightly and weekly rates for all of our rooms.
Rates are for double occupancy and include a gourmet homemade breakfast. All rates are subject to change without notice. Weekly rates are also available upon request for a considerable discount when you book 6 nights or more.
Breakfast is served between 7 and 9 A.M.
Our hot homemade breakfasts are different every day as Jill loves to cook and bake and is always trying new recipes for guests to enjoy. Breakfast also includes coffee, tea and juices along with fruits, yogurts, bagels and freshly baked breads and muffins. We are happy to accommodate all special dietary needs, restrictions and allergies. We allow a maximum of 2 people per guest room. 1 additional person may be permitted in the Blue Bird Suite for an extra $40 charge per night.
We are very sorry but we can not accept children. Guests must be age 18 or older.
Non-Inn Guests During Your Stay
The rooms, common areas of The Guesthouse, the pool and the grounds of the property are solely for the use of booked guests who are staying at The Timbrook Guesthouse.
While many guests may be visiting the area to see friends and family, attend a local event, or visit students at local colleges and universities, we require our guests to PLEASE CONFIRM WITH THE GUESTHOUSE BEFORE INVITING ANY OTHER PARTIES WHO ARE NOT GUESTS TO THE TIMBROOK. Additional breakfasts for non-inn guests are $20 per person.
Food And Drinks In Guest Rooms
We work very hard to make sure all of our guests have a wonderful and comfortable experience.
That experience includes maintaining high standards when it comes to providing clean facilities, linens, artwork, antiques, and furniture. We ask that all guests please refrain from eating and bringing beverages into the guest rooms. We have a refrigerator in the Munching Moku that guests are welcome to utilize. All food consumption, outside of our breakfasts, should be in the dining room, common room and designated outside areas of The Guesthouse.
Guest Room Damages
We take pride in providing high quality linens, furniture and artwork in the Guesthouse.
Please refrain from using any bleaching night creams that may cause damage to our sheets and towels. Any damage caused by guests products or negligence will result in a cleaning or replacement charge.
We take pride in caring for our 150 year old floors and do have a “No Shoe” policy.
Please feel free to B.Y.O.S. “Bring Your Own Slippers!” or take advantage of a complimentary Timbrook pair located just inside the front door.
Laundry And Dry Cleaning Services
Laundry and dry cleaning services are provided at The Guesthouse.
No prior arrangements necessary. Full laundry care (washed, dried, folded) is provided same day at $10 per load. Dry cleaning services are provided by a local company for the cost of the dry cleaning bill plus an additional $15.
Guesthouse Bicycles And Fishing Poles
Antrim Park is literally right across the street with a access to the Olentangy Greenway Bike Trail that runs for miles and miles in either direction.
We are happy to provide complimentary bicycles along with helmets, a map and water bottles to enjoy what the 13.75 mile trail has to offer. Additional bikes are $15 per person. For more information on the trail click here. If you would like something on a quieter note you’re welcome to grab one of our fishing poles and head over to the fishing hole. They stock the lake with trout twice a year. Antrim Lake also has a foot path along it measuring 1.2 miles. It is a great way to get in some fresh air and exercise and see what our area of Columbus has to offer.
Swimming Pool And Hot Tub
The Timbrook Guesthouse has a beautiful heated ellipse-shaped pool and hot tub for the use of our guests.
The depth of the pool varies from 4 feet in the shallow end to 10 feet in the deep end. Swimming and hot tubbing are at the sole risk of The Timbrook guests; there is never a lifeguard on duty at any time. We provide complimentary beach towels and robes for the convenience of our guests. The pool and hot tub hours are from 7 A.M. to 10 P.M.
We are sorry but we cannot accept pets here at The Timbrook Guesthouse.
Our amazing parrots, Opu, Ono, Okole, O’o and Charlie, are always around if you need an animal fix and they would love any attention you’re able to give them. They also love to entertain with their playfulness and talking.
We are strictly a non-smoking facility.
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outdoors. Any smoking inside The Guesthouse will result in an immediate request to leave along with an additional $250 cleaning fee to go with your room and incidental charges.
Firearms of any kind are strictly forbidden anywhere on the estate.
We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Reservations are charged to credit cards, in full, at the time of check-in. If paying by check, the check must be received by The Guesthouse at least 14 days prior to the date of arrival. If you are paying in cash, it will be collected at the time of check-in.
Reservations cancelled at least 14 days prior to check-in will be fully refunded.
Any reservation cancelled 14 days or less before its starting date will be charged in full, unless The Timbrook Guesthouse is able to resell the room on the guests behalf. No shows will also be charged in full. All cancellations will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee unless the guest rebooks at the time of cancellation. Please understand that due to the small and intimate nature of our business, we must adhere strictly to this policy.
Holiday And Special Event Cancellation
Reservations cancelled at least 30 days prior to check-in will be fully refunded.
Any reservation cancelled 30 days or less before its’ starting date will be charged in full, unless The Timbrook Guesthouse is able to resell the room on the guests behalf. No shows will also be charged in full. All cancellations will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee unless the guest rebooks at the time of cancellation. Special Event cancellations will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee per room. Please understand that due to the small and intimate nature of our business, we must adhere strictly to this policy.
A reservation in which 4 or more guest rooms are booked for the same party is considered a special event.
We are very sorry but we can not accept children even for special events. Please notify The Guesthouse during the time of booking of the total number of guests and the possibility of any non-inn guests coming during the reservation. A 20% gratuity fee will be charged for all groups booking 4 rooms or more.
