With the addition of several beautiful parrots to the Timbrook family, Peter decided to build an outside aviary for the birds to enjoy as their home during the warmer months. It took him two years to complete the construction using two old corn cribs that Jill found in an old farm field. The aviary is equipped with a variety of climbing elements, toys, and ropes for the birds to enjoy. All of the birds get plenty of exercise as they are fully flighted and can enjoy spreading their wings.
Our seven parrots include: Opu, Okole, O’o, Ono, Lolo, Ajax, and Charlie. They are all very entertaining and talkative; especially our little Okole, the Double Yellow-Headed Amazon parrot who loves to learn new words and repeat what he hears. Take your coffee, tea, or snack out to the aviary and relax and enjoy all of the parrots’ funny antics as they play with each other and try to get your attention. However, please be warned that any fingers going into the aviary may not come back out.
