In 2008, Peter and Jill began to notice that The Timbrook’s estate was slowly being taken over by orchids and tropical plants. Peter decided that to harness all of this natural beauty he needed to build Jill a greenhouse. He constructed the natural stone wall, himself, from stones found on the property; it was his first attempt working with stone and it turned out wonderfully.
To this day, Jill enjoys expanding her collection and the greenhouse is now filled not only with a variety of beautiful orchids and tropical plants, but also the lovely sounds of finches and canaries. As a result of her attention and care, a visit to the greenhouse will transport your senses to a tropical oasis – no matter the season or time of year.
Come and discover what is in bloom – you might even find some fresh fruit that is ready to be picked! With Tango and Zumba serenading your visit, you may never want to leave.
